DISTRICT: 12-0

OVERALL: 10-0

LAST WEEK: The eighth grade Ladycats went undefeated defeating the Olney Lady Cubs for their last game.

BRIGHT SPOTS: During the first game of the eighth grade team’s season, Maddie Lopez shot from behind the half court line while the buzzer to end the game rang through the gymnasium.

INSIDE  SCOOP: “The players learned how to play well together as a team,” Coach Mallory Mooney said. “As their chemistry together improved, so did their level of play. I’m very happy with the way that we ended their junior high basketball career.”

WEAKNESS: “We were really struggling with passing,” eighth grader Sadiee Strachan said. “As we got further into the season, we did improve.”

STRENGTH: “I was happy to know that we had people who could bring the ball down the court,” eighth grader Bailey Grant said.
