Twirlers prepare for State
Although the school year is nearing the end, that doesn’t mean it’s the end for the Prowlin’ Growlin’ Wildcat Band.
The band has been practicing for the sight reading concert that was held April 6. The results were not available at press time.
“We have been practicing on completing a full”, said band director Karen Brunker. “The students have worked hard for this performance.”
The twirlers have been practicing for their reappearance at state Memorial weekend.
The twirlers will hold a performance April 24 at the 4H show.
The twirlers going to the state competition are, juniors Cienna Diaz, Kaitlyn Miller, sophomore Audrey Schroeder and freshman Morgan Veitenheimer.
The twirlers are practicing ending and starting on time and staying in sync.
The girls practice Wednesday evening at 6.
“During the practice we focus on staying in time,” said Diaz. “We work on this so we will look better when we perform.”
The coach for the twirlers is Donnete Odom.
“The fact that we are going to state two years in a row makes me super proud of these girls,” said Odom. “They have practiced every Wednesday to prepare for this.”
