The school year has begun, but it will be the last year here for many students. On the first day of school, the senior class gathered to participate in a “Senior Sunrise.”

“Being able to get together as a class to start off on a high note was my favorite part,” senior Sierra Mooney said.

At 7:00 am, each senior received a balloon with a piece of paper attached that was blank. Everyone wrote a goal on the paper and at once released their balloons.

“I loved that we all started this year focused on our goals, not only individual, but as a class,” senior Hannah Mays said.

This gathering marked one of the first events of the year for the senior class, but senior Lauren Castles said she hopes to remain close with all of her classmates.

“I want everyone to be involved, cherish all of the moments with everyone and make the most of this year,” she said.
