With the holidays coming around and people searching for gifts, the well-known dance video game “Just Dance 2022” is made for all ages with songs from “Believer” by Imagine Dragons to “Happier Than Ever” by Billie Eilish.
In this version of the game, Ubisoft has added multiple features including kids mode, more advanced sweat-mode and even a quick-play option.
The kid’s mode includes a modified menu with censored songs and is more suitable to the younger generation.
In Ubisoft’s updated work-out option, the company has created a way for players to track their calories along with the total time danced.
With three different playing versions, “Just Dance 2022” has curated an option for those who want to dive in immediately and play without having to scroll through up to 700 songs (with Unlimited access). This mode, called quick-play, shuffles a random playlist for dancers in the home menu, so people can jump in and start gaining points.
Throughout the game, there are 40 different popular songs for players to dance to like “drivers license” by Olivia Rodrigo and “Chandelier” by Sia have recently been added to the new updated version.
One of the few downfalls to the released game is the number of advertisements. In previous years, the game has not been promoted this much or to this degree. When signed in, “Just Dance 2022” constantly encourages players to buy and subscribe to their “Just Dance Unlimited,” which released May 16, 2019.
Those new to the game or considering the “Just Dance Unlimited” deal are to be cautious when purchasing because of the heavy promotion. While advertising their opportunities for more songs, it is taking more chances away from fans to play and dance to the songs and instead forcing them to pay.
The company brought back many throwbacks as well as accommodated the virtual reality of today’s world with songs from Tik Tok and other platforms that have promoted the music industry.
Alongside the improvements to choreography, “Just Dance 2022” has included more diversity in the dancing rather than their typical “Just Dance” modern moves. In one of the songs, which is a Brazilian electronica jam “Baianá,” the company made it more unique to the country and type of dance.
Overall, the new game has improved the quality throughout the years, especially looking back to the 2009 release. Fans are ready and excited to play and put it on their Christmas lists. Ubisoft has kept up their “exceptional” gameplay with their graphics and the dancing itself.
“Just Dance 2022” is playable on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Google Stadia, Playstation 4 and Playstation 5.
