Student Council members have new ideas for the school year with new officers: President Brianna Howard,
Vice President Kassidy Marin,
Treasurer Estefani Zea Monroy, Secretary Karla Priebe,
and Reporter Kaydyn Ritchie.
STUCO sponsor LeeAnne Warren said the organization is led more by students’ ideas.
“Most of the ideas are not mine,” Warren said. “These students bring incredible ideas and make them come true.”
Howard said as president she hopes to accomplish a lot of things.
“My primary goal for STUCO is to get more involved. If we could help make students’ lives a little less stressful around when finals and EOC’s come that would be really helpful,” Howard said.
Howard said she thinks that STUCO has “improved” over the years.
“I do think from previous years STUCO has come a long way around,” Howard said. “My job is to continue that in anyway I can.”
Howard said she already has some ideas for next semester.
“I would like to do a rock message,” Howard said. “It is where a few students can collect a couple of rocks and paint them. They could add inspiring or meaningful messages and send them out for people that need it.”
Sophomore Seth Kinzie joined STUCO so he could help with planning more student activities.
“I joined because of the fun things that they do,” Kinzie said. “I liked how last year they did the Christmas Lip Sync Battle. I would like to help out with that.
