Over the break, the paper towel, toilet paper and soap dispensers in the bathrooms were replaced. This is an overall good decision to “spruce” up our school.
The placement of the dispensers has definitely confused some people. The toilet paper dispensers are placed higher than the previous ones with the holes from the others’ screws visible.
According to Superintendent C.D. Knobloch, the dispensers are placed higher because some are automated.
The new dispensers look very sleek and fancy. It gives almost a preppy and more expensive vibe to the school now.
Cost efficiency, due to inflation, is a major reason for the change in dispensers. Similar to the 2020 toilet paper shortage, the cost of toilet paper, paper towels and soap has increased.
Even though some people are conservative when it comes to products, others who use them freely will waste some of the products.
The school tries its best to monitor how much of theses products are used. It is sometimes frustrating even to other students when they see that products have gone to waste.
Wasting products, such as toilet paper and paper towels, are one way for germs and bacteria to spread with paper products being left on the ground. It is a disgusting sight and lowers the overall “value” of our school.
Inflation nationwide has caused numerous products to rise in cost. Limiting the waste and changing to a new and more cost efficient company will help the school save money due to the prices of products in the area going up.
The new dispensers are from a company called Cinta. Cinta is a $60.07 billion industry, and their products will save the school more money than the last dispensers.
With this change the school is trying to provide the best quality at a low and efficient cost.
