Five members of the varsity track team competed at the regional meet April 19.
Leading up to all the competitions, Warren practiced perfecting his technique for high jump.
“I’ve been doing leg workouts and just doing a lot of jumping drills,” Warren said.
The relay team, juniors Isaac Dieguez, Noah Cornell, Kellar Crow and senior Laine Hall, placed 13 out of 16 teams competing.
They got to region by hard work.
“We did a bunch of hand-offs and sprints,” Cornell said.

The varsity track team participated in the area meet April 11.
Sophomore Addison Peters won sixth place in discus with junior Cort Miller winning the same in the boys’ competition. Senior Brynlee Skelton received sixth place in high jump. Her teammate freshman MaKaylee McCown placed seventh in the same event.
“I think if we worked on team bonding it would boost people’s motivation,” Peters said. “We still tried our best and we will in the years moving forward.”
Receiving fifth place as the boys team in the 4×200 relay were junior Kellar Crow, Warren, junior Noah Cornell and junior Haegen Deerinwater.
Warren placed first in high jump and reached a new record as high jump area champ.
