With the political election next week, “Who will be the next president?” is the question asked around the nation.
Students have their own opinion of who should be the next president of the United States of America.
Junior Alex Minyard said he would nominate a “fellow peer.”
“I would vote (junior) Brody Reneau. Teachers and classmates often praise him. He is responsible and a pretty nice guy,” Minyard said.
Minyard said Reneau would handle being president very well.
“He would help to improve our foreign policy and alleviate tensions between other countries,” Minyard said. “I think some people would agree with me because he is after all a sympathetic guy.”
Junior Tillee Bardwell said she would vote for a peer.
“I would vote for (junior) Sam Gilmore. He is the type of person that everybody loves to be around. Sam is a very kind and passionate guy that’s always smiling,” Bardwell said.
Bardwell said she thinks Gilmore would help improve the agricultural department of the nation.
“Sam is really involved in the agricultural area, so I would definitely see him help change and better certain things that this area needs. Beside that he would obviously help out in other areas. He is the type that loves helping everyone out,” she said. “In school we know him as the ‘Peppermint King’ because he will give us peppermints.”
Students also mentioned they would vote for celebrities to be the next president.
“I feel like he would help our country by decreasing drug use. Besides helping in other political areas, he would mainly concentrate in the drug use department.”
Eminem is also known for being deeply honest, said Reeves.
“He would definitely call people out if he were president. We need some like him because there is people in our government that sure need to be called out,” she said.
Reeves said she thinks people can either disagree or agree with her.
“Some would agree because he would get things done. On the other hand, others would disagree simply because of the content in his music,” she said. âHis music style is not the friendliest, but after all, he is just a songwriter.”
Junior Zech Allen said he would vote for Kayne West.
“I think he is a brilliant man that has great ideas,” Allen said.
With West being the president, the USA would benefit, Allen said.
“I feel like he would help provide more jobs for his citizens,” he said. “Aside from this he would also create fire music. Others may not agree with me, but I think he has the potential to be our president.”
