FFA members held their annual banquet on May 5. The new officers for the new school year were announced.
Officers for next year are junior Sam Gilmore – president, junior Jesse Cantu – vice president, junior Talynn Lowe – secretary, sophomore Brilee Canada – treasurer, sophomore Gage McCord – reporter, junior Brooklyn Roberts – sentinel, sophomore Ian Graves – adviser, sophomore Noah Madsen – historian and sophomore Cy Woodridge – parliamentarian.
The meal was made by one of the FFA member’s parent.
“Victoria’s (Foster) mom made the meal,” Crafton said.
Gilmore said he is thrilled to be the new FFA president for the next upcoming school year.
“I feel honored to be next year’s new president.”
Cantu said he is also excited to be part of the new officer face.
“As the new vice president, I plan to help as much as I can next year.”
The 97th Texas FFA State Convention will be July 2.
“I’m still not completely done with FFA,” Foster said. “We still have convention.”
Hastings said this was one of the “hardest” goodbyes throughout her senior year ends.
“It has been a big part of my life and it’s such a bittersweet moment,” Hastings said. “I will never forget the countless memories and friends I made through FFA.”
