New phone policy appreciated

New phone policy appreciated

Hope Browning, Sports Editor

Walking around in the halls between classes, students are often texting, snapchatting, or on other social media apps.

The school’s new policies on cell phone usage is more lenient and students are thankful for this. It is appreciated by the student body that Principal Josh Castles understands our obsession with technology and accommodates our wants with discipline.

Now that we have this policy, fewer phones have been taken up, except for those who have abused this policy. Students are not allowed to film or take pictures of those who do not give their consent or abuse their texting app by bullying or sending inappropriate language.

Students are able to use their phones during class breaks, Success and lunch. With this  being said, students have no need to check it during class. No one has to sneak it during the breaks, and the student body appreciates this new rule.

Staff members can now send out texts during the day if they forget something to remind the students during class, instead of sneaking the phones during class.

Thank you, Mr. Castles for letting the students be allowed on their phone and not fighting a losing battle.
