Resolutions too often proved to be worthless

Resolutions+too+often+proved+to+be+worthless

New Year’s is another holiday that comes around every year, but it has lost its meaning.

New Year’s is supposed to be about a new start, but it seems more like some just use it as an excuse to have a party and drunk.

It is a time where people deal a problem or addiction that they have, but it has been turned into a joke where people make plans that they do not keep. Some say they aren’t going to do something and then the very next day they just forget about it and do it all over again anyway.

Some people do follow through on their resolutions and lose weight, stop smoking or stop drinking. It is a great thing to do, but just because it’s a tradition to make resolutions, that doesn’t mean they will follow through with it if they don’t even try to accomplish that goal.

People have to put effort into their resolutions or else they will just keep repeating their old habits and they won’t change. People will just become the person that they are trying not to be.

Since resolutions have been made into something that people do not think will happen they do not put as much energy into their resolutions. They just think that their plans will not work out for them so they do not even attempt them.

Although New Year’s resolutions have become a joke to some, they could be an amazing thing that give people a set date on when they start something new or fix something they think is wrong with them. People have to put their best efforts into them.
