OVERALL: 9-5

DISTRICT: 4-2

BRIGHT SPOTS: The JV girls basketball team won twice against Windthorst. One game was at home and the other away.

INSIDE  SCOOP: The team has won three out of the five games that they have played in district and plan to keep on doing so.

“Our free-throws and ball handling skills have improved a lot,” sophomore Rexa Hand said. “I just feel like the team is well rounded and is doing really well this year.”

Sophomore Payton Kincy agrees with Hand.

“We are all growing as basketball players.” Kincy said, “All of us are able to handle the ball better than we could at the beginning of the year.”

.” Coach Mayson Morris said, “The team has become more “consistent” with the way they play.

ATHLETE’S VIEW: “We work pretty well together,” Kincy said. “We just don’t have confidence.”

One of the new members to the team said that the Ladycats needs to improve on communication.

“We need to learn how to better communicate on and off the court,” Hand said. “The team just needs to learn how to better boost each other’s self confidence.”
