Teenagers often have something in their cars that makes them uniquely theirs. From a dent in the side of their car to little things hanging around the inside of the car, these set automobiles apart.
Car quirks are little things in or about students’ cars that make them special. As students are starting to get their licenses and drive, they have discovered little things that make theirs car theirs.
Stickers are one accessory people use.
“I have stickers on the inside of my windshield,” senior Camryn Cox said.
If someone is driving to any new place they would probably see at least one or two cars with stickers on the outside.
Ayden DeLeon, a senior, said he has a bandana to remember someone who has passed in his family.
“I have a bandana wrapped around one of the handles in my truck that represents my tia that passed a couple years ago,” Deleon said. “It has been there for two years and I refuse to remove it and will put it in my next vehicle in the same spot.”
Some quirks are little funny things that explain the person. DeLeon said this quirk is special and symbolizes a special thing in his life.
For some students, they keep important gear in their car so that they can have it with them whenever they need.
Aedyn Weiss, a sophomore, said he keeps his hunting gear in his truck so that anytime he needs it, it’s there.
“I like to keep my hunting gear in my truck with me always just in case I ever need it,” Weiss said. “It shows my personality very well.”
Some students just leave little things in their car for on the go like snacks, an extra pair of shoes or even just books.
“I like to leave little things in my car just for on the go. I like to leave books, snacks and shoes in my car,” junior Chenahrath Peeratanyanonth said.
Car fresheners are other accessories that people use. Some use them to make the car smell good or just because they are cute and leave them there even when they don’t smell anymore.
“I have a Whataburger Scentsy in my car,” Isaac Dieguez, a sophomore, said. “Whataburger is one of my favorite fast food restaurants.”
