The junior varsity football team is 1 – 5 overall. The boys are also 1 – 3 in district.
The boys had a win over Electra with a score of 20-12
“The season started slow for us, but we’ve gotten better each week,” Coach Tim Pope said. “We are improving and looking forward to what the last part of the season has in store for the Wildcats.”
“I think we just need to regroup as team so we can get better,” freshman Gabe Rice said.
Rice said his personal strength is being a good kicker.
“I think I can kick the ball very well,” Rice said.
He said that is his best quality.
“I hope we win more games, but to do that we are going to have to work harder than what we are now,” Rice said.
“I think the season has gone okay so far,” junior Ryan Cantu. “I think we need to work harder to get where we need to be.”
Cantu said the season so far has gone okay for him.
“During the games we just lose focus,” Cantu said. “I think we could work harder and have more focus during games.”
