“I am so proud of how the girls performed this year,” Head Coach Tyler Owen said.
The girls had an overall record of 18 wins and 14 losses.
“We had a winning season,” Owen said. “Actually, it is my most winning season I’ve every had.”
Senior Malia Jones said she saw how the team improved.
“Being able to see how the team grew this past three year with Coach Owen has been amazing,” Jones said.
Jones said that Coach Owen has done a “great job.”
“Coach Owen has been the best coach we could ever ask for,” Jones said.
Senior Alyssa Schroeder said the team works well together.
Schroeder said. “Everyone on the team knew their roles and embraced them.”
Schroeder said that district was a breeze.
“All the other years we have had to scramble to beat teams,” she said. “But this year, we all knew we had to do everything possible to get into playoffs.”
Owen said they have prepared well.
“We have watched a bunch of film,” Owen said. “We have also recruited the junior varsity to practice with us.”
He said the girls have worked hard.
“Everything we have done is to prepare us for playoffs,” Owen said. “I knew we could make it there. Now we just have to play hard and excel.”
Schroeder said she has personally seen how determined everyone is.
“We are putting our all into this team,” Schroeder said. “I expect us to look back on this season and smile. We’ve all done our best this season.”
