OVERALL: As the junior high boys basketball teams season ends, the players look back on the games they won and lost. Both played seven games and both won five and lost two.
LAST WEEK: The junior high boys won in Nocona -?.
PREVIOUS GAMES: for the year as it stands the teams have played 12 games including tournaments. Ending with a season of 9-4 for eight grade and 8-4 for seventh grade.
BRIGHT SPOTS: every season brings a new group of players for the junior high teams. So when a team is able to work together to win games it results in improvement.
“I would say our bright spot for this group this year was learning to play as a team” Coach Erik Garcia said.
WEAKNESS: Many teams struggle with defence in basketball and trying to stop the ball or returning it to offence “I feel like defence is our main struggle, we arnt always the best at stopping to ball” seventh grader Reece Wooldridge said
Eight grade Braden Tedrow said
“We can have passes that get messed up or we make a mistake on.’
STRENGTH: When teams are able to talk and work on a plan together, with out arguing. It results in more plays that go just as planed.
“We got better. Our chemistry has got better” Reece Wooldridge said
Seventh grader Coby Wright said the teams attitude was another strength “We’ve got good sports man ship and that leads us to hard work”.
