The elementary is hosting a spring fundraiser on March 3 to help raise money and have a fun night full of activities, said Principal Josh Castles.

The Spring Fling will be held in the school cafeteria. There will be a variety of activities available. It will be from 6-7:30 p.m.

“I’m ready for the family night,” fifth grader Emma Elmore said, “It will be a good time to spend with all my family.”

The annual family book fair night will be set up in the cafeteria along with a variety of food trucks out in front of the cafeteria.

“My favorite part of the family night is getting new books,” fifth grader Audrey Berend said, “I am getting really excited.”

Elementary and middle school art will be exhibited and available to buy.

“I’m ready to paint a piece of art,” fifth grader Kadence Huffman said. “The auction will be really cool.”

Students are painting an individual picture that will be ranked first through third place in each class, along with a class painting.

The winning pieces will be sold in a live auction with an auctioneer coming in from Australia. The remaining paintings will be available for purchase in the foyer at a minimum of $5.

“Proceeds for the event will help the PTO,” Mr. Castles said, “in the funding of field trips, classroom wish lists and all the extras that are requested throughout the year to help improve student learning and campus climate.”
