Each year the seniors recreate events from their elementary times. It gives them a chance to hang out one last time as senior’s before they go to college or their separate ways. Thanksgiving, Valentine’s Day, and Easter parties are flash backs of their younger years.
“It gives them a chance to capture activities they did in elementary school,” senior sponsor Donette Odom said.
Having all the different parties allows them to share these experiences for the last time with the people they grew up with and all their friends.
“This is their last chance to bond together as a group with activities before they graduate and embark upon many different adventures in the world,” Odom said.
Senior Victoria Foster said that their time to hang out together is coming to a end.
“It all makes me realize how close I am to graduating,” Foster said. I’m going to miss it.”
The seniors recreated their thanksgiving feast from kindergarten.
“It was more relaxing than the one we had in kindergarten, and the food was good,” senior Justin Perez said.
They tried to recreate the kindergarten feast. “With the Thanksgiving party, we did the pilgrims just like in kindergarten,” senior Enya Reeve said. “I’m looking forward to the Easter party and all the memories we will make together for the last time.”
The seniors get to go to the city hall and go Easter egg hutting
“These parties give us the chance to spend time together as a class before we all go our separate ways,” Reeve said.
Seniors enjoy their last time’s to get together as they get ready to move on to the next phase of their lives.
“It feels more comforting to recreate the holiday parties,” senior Matti Bracey said. “It feels nice to do the parties one more time with the people I grew up with.”
