For the end of the year, the PALs went on a field trip to the Fort Worth Zoo.
Senior Shooter Canada said he enjoyed how the kids acted at the zoo.
“I liked how happy the kids were on the trip,” Canada said. “I loved seeing them smile.”
Kindergartner Mackenzie Heflin said she liked the snakes the most.
“I like snakes because they’re slimy,” Heflin said.
Senior Serenity Jones said she has two favorite animals.
“I loved feeding the giraffes and seeing the hippos,” Jones said.
Kindergartner Evelyn Wuthrich said she hung out with her PAL.
“I really like looking at giraffes with my PAL, Addi Canada,” Wuthrich said.
Kindergartener Tucker Smith said he fed the pandas.
“I fed the pandas with Maddox,” Smith said.
Pre-K student Dustye Shipley said the giraffes were his favorite animals there.
“I loved the giraffes because of their long tongues,” Shipley said.
Senior Addyson Peters said she enjoyed riding the bus with the children instead of learning at school.
Canada said he disliked how crowded the zoo was.
“My least favorite part was how many people were there,” Canada said.
Heflin said the most exciting part was exploring the zoo.
“I loved running around,” Heflin said.
Shipley said the best part about the zoo was the monkeys.
“The monkeys that swung on trees was the best,” Shipley said.
Peters said her least favorite part was how the zoo smelled,
“My least favorite part was the smell because it was terrible,” Peters said.
Heflin said her favorite animals at the zoo were the zebras.
“The zebras were so cool,” Heflin said.
Pre-K student Sawyer Sallee said he looked forward to seeing the lions at the zoo.
“The lions were the best,” Sallee said.
Shipley said he enjoyed seeing multiple animals at the zoo.
“I loved the zebras, monkeys, and giraffes,” Shipley said.
Peters described the trip as enjoyable.
“The trip was super fun because we got to hang out with the kids,” Peters said.
