Fortnite’s new Simpsons themed season is different. After a player drought during the latter end of chapter six, this season brought old and new players back to the game. “I really like this season,” junior Nathan Trapp said. “The new weapons are way better than the weapons in the season before.” After removing weapons like the Bug Blaster and Leadspitter 3000, Fortnite added Krusty’s Mr. Blasty and unvaulted the Thunder Shotgun. “I’ve played almost every day after school this week,” junior James Allen said. “I like getting the victory royales with the Ned Flanders skin.” Players are spending their free time enjoying the new season. “The new map is the best part about the season for me,” junior Cy Wooldridge said. “The new, less-realistic style runs well on my computer and is easier on the eyes.” Fortnite’s collaboration with the Simpsons brought new skins to the game.
“I’m already the max level in the battle pass,” junior Michael Williams said. “Homer Simpson is my favorite skin right now.” During the middle of the season, Fortnite released the new “Donut Storm” weather event. “The donut storms give really good loot,” sophomore Reed Truette said. “The donuts keep killing me, though, since they do so much damage.” Fortnite added new weapon types like “Moe’s Five Gun” from Season 9, Episode 11 of “The Simpsons.” “I like using the five gun,” Williams said. “I can use it as a shotgun and an assault rifle.” New bosses like Witch Marge and Evil Homer were added this season. “The new bosses are cool,” Allen said. “They’re a little too easy, though. I feel like they should be more of a challenge to kill.” Battle Royale is the main mode played this season, but Battle Royale: Zero Build is a close second. “I like playing zero build better than build,” Trapp said. “It’s just more fun without the good players building on me the whole game.” New mobility items like the Blinky Fish and Super Squishy were added this season. “I like using the super squishy to move around,” Truette said. “It makes me really fast and lets me jump high.” Fortnite also brought back the Shockwave Grenades from being vaulted. “The shockwave grenades being brought back was the best part about this season,” junior Alex Miller said. “I like to throw one down and destroy people’s builds.”
