Japan House is an all-you-can-eat restaurant located on Call Field Rd. in Wichita Falls. The outside of the building is very bright and inviting. When you walk in, you are greeted and seated very nicely. The booths and the dining area are comfortable and nice.
The sushi and the takoyaki are the top hits at this restaurant. The menu has a variety of choices. You get five options from anything on the menu in a small portion. You can’t get more than five, but you can pick fewer if you choose. You also must eat everything you ordered, or the price might go up.
The prices are a little unreasonable considering the food wasn’t the best. For two people, it was around $74, which is a little too much. The sushi rice was a little dry and stale, and the fish was a little too fishy. The hand rolls have a seaweed wrap around them, and again, they tasted a little dry and stale.
Out of everything I got, the seaweed salad was refreshing and cold and tasted fresh. This contains seaweed with a sesame dressing.
They have a Facebook and Instagram account for advertising. The big signs and bright lights are another great advertising system, which invites people to go and try the restaurant.
They put in the effort of making the dishes organized well by making the dishes look nice.
The restaurant isn’t a family-run business. It refers to cultural centers, like Chicago and Los Angeles.
The maintenance of the dining area is good, but the bathrooms could use some work. There was trash on the floor and it could have been cleaner.
They are open every day of the week with different times of opening and closing. Sunday through Wednesday, they open at 11 a.m. and close at 9:30 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, they open at 11 a.m. and close at 10:30 p.m.
They feature different specials for each day of the week, which is unique.
I liked this restaurant overall, but I don’t think I will go again. The prices were just a little high for two people.
Although Japan House had good options and a variety of food, it wasn’t worth spending that much money.
