LAST WEEK: Last week the junior high A team played Christ Academy and won in two sets.

PREVIOUS GAMES: The A team and B teams played Harrold; both teams won in two sets. The following week the A team beat Chillicothe in three sets.

BRIGHT SPOTS: “We changed the rotation this year,” Coach Amy Huseman said. “They had a tough time with it at first, but they are really starting to pick it up.”

INSIDE  SCOOP: “The eighth graders have improved since last year,” Coach Mallory Mooney said. “They are all still improving.”

WEAKNESS: “A weakness of ours is our confidence,” Alyssa Casillas, eighth grade A team member, said. “We put ourselves down once we get a couple points behind.”

Seventh grader Bailey Cox said their weakness is in skills.

“When we are passsing, we  have a hard time getting the ball to target, and that really brings us down in points,” Cox said.

STRENGTH: “My height is a huge strength of mine,” Shaylee Watson, eighth grade A team member, said. “I love playing middle and getting a really good kill.”

Seventh grader Kaylee Mahler said their strength is in their offense.

“Our serves are really good this year,” she said. “they are where we get most of our points.
