Students vist haunted house
Haunted houses are popular because of the thrill people get when they go to one.
Sophomore Kaylee Washburn said that she likes haunted houses because they are fun places to be in October.
“The fun part about a haunted house is making it through because when you’re done, the fear is over,” Washburn said.
Sophomore Kynlee Dodson said that she likes haunted houses.
“They are fun even though I get scared easily,” Dodson said
Not all people like going to haunted houses because of different fears they have.
Junior Madella Nicholson said she also does not like going to haunted houses because she does not like being in tight spaces.
“I also don’t like haunted houses because when I went, I get claustrophobia,” Nicholson said.
Seventh grader Kenlee Getts said she also does not like haunted houses.
“I don’t like them because of them touching me,” Getts said
Dereck McGrew said he only likes going with friends, and he usually goes with 9 or 10 people and with his family.
“My friends are really the only reason I go,” McGrew said.
Dodson said her favorite part is going with friends.
“I usually go with one or two friends,” Dodson said.
Eight grader Brianna Barron said she also visits with her friends.
“When I normally go with friends, I usually go with five people,” Barron said.
Depending on the haunted house, there will be different lights, costumes, and other experiences.
“I like haunted houses because of the excitement, costumes, the adrenaline, equipment, and the lighting,” Washburn said.
Barron said what makes up a haunted house is the decoration.
“The people that dress up and the lights are what make a haunted house seem real,” Barron said.
McGrew said that he likes haunted houses.
“ I like the adrenaline rush and the feeling of not being scared,” McGrew said.
