From taking photos to eating out, students followed a variety of prom traditions.
“My before plans were to braid my hair and go golfing,” junior Trent Howeth said.
Junior Autumn Stump said her plans were to get ready.
“I planned on getting ready at [sophomore] Haylie Howell’s house,” Stump said.
Howell said Stump came over before prom.
“We went to get dressed and hang out before we went to prom,” Howell said.
Junior Madella Nicholson also hung out with friends.
“Then I got ready to go after a while,” Nicholson said
One tradition that students followed was taking photos before prom.
“I got photos at my cousin’s house, and I got some at prom,” junior Alyssa Calhoun said.

Although in movies students arrive at prom in limousines, Howeth took a different route.
“I decided to take my truck,” he said.
Good said he also drove himself.
“I took my Ford Explorer,” Good said.
Another tradition is eating out after prom. Howell did that with friends.
“I just went with the flow for the rest of the night,” Howell said.
Nicholson said she went to IHOP to eat.
“After that, I went bowling with a couple of my friends,” Nicholson said.
Stump said she hung out after the prom.
“I just chilled with friends,” Stump said.
Calhoun said she also spent time with friends.
“I went to the Waffle House,” Calhoun said.
Howeth said he just went home after the prom.
“I had to take care of my animals,” Howeth said.
Junior James Allen said that he and junior Michael Williams went to eat.
“We went to go eat out at Olive Garden,” Allen said.
