OVERALL: The junior varsity Ladycats have a 9-6 record.
BRIGHT SPOTS: “Our teams bright spots were definitely our hitting because our hitters are very strong,” freshmen Emery Veitenheimer said. “I think our hitters are good at snapping and know how to block well.”
Junior Ella Golllihugh said she thinks they improve more and more each game. “The team has improved skill and knowledge of the game making us overall stronger each game. The team dynamic is strong and I proud of all of the girls.” Gollihugh said.
INSIDE SCOOP: With the junior varsity lady cats losing some of their games they made a come back by winning in their game against the olny cubs. The lady cats will continue on to compete against the windthorst Trojans.
COACH’S VIEW: “The season has been good so far and we continue to see new faces. The girls have a good dynamic, even though they are competitive they all continue to have fun. I do feel like the girls could definitely be louder on the court but other than that they are pretty good,” junior varsity coach Jackie Wuthrich said. “They are a good group of students, they have brought a new and different vibe to the team this year in a good way.
We have lots of good young leaders on the team.”
ATHLETE’S VIEW: “I think our season is going well. We have improved a lot since our first game, we have good passers and hitters. Our communication is definitely something we need to work on.” sophomore Myah Ferguson said.
