The school had its annual Fall Carnival on Oct. 18 sponsored by to the Parent-Teacher Organization. The carnival took place in the gym and cafeteria.
Mini games as well as turtle races were available at the carnival. The turtle races were in honor of Cody Stephens.
The Fall Carnival gave students a chance to interact with each other.
“I got to meet a lot of new people,” fourth grader Lyla Wright said. “And there were a lot of activities to do.”
The Fall Carnival raised money for the Parent-Teacher Organization and they use the money to buy supplies, but that’s not the only reason for the Fall Carnival.
“The purpose of the Fall Carnival isn’t to raise money,” said PTO president Lauren Martin said.” “But it’s for the people of the community so they can have fun.”
Fifth grader Hannah Krenek described some of her favorite things from the carnival.

My favorite thing was going on the bouncy house with my brother and friends

” Krenek said. “Oh, and the food.”
Fourth grader Roman Henderson described the dunking booth as a mini game that he thought was fun and interesting.
“The dunk is where someone throws a ball,” fourth grader Zaidon Acuna said. “And then another person falls in water.”
The Fall Carnival had a cake walk to go with all of the mini games.
“I liked the cake walk,” fourth grader Ericka Willett said.
