JH boys teams gain experience working in the new season

JH boys teams gain experience working in the new season

The junior high boys seventh grade team is 1 – 2. The eighth grade boys team is 0 – 3.
The seventh grade boys lost to Olney in a 28 – 30 match. The eighth grade team also lost to Olney in a 30 – 48 match.
Other previous games were against Windthorst and Nocona.
The seventh grade took a loss against Windthorst. The eighth grade also lost against Windthorst.
The seventh grade won against Nocona. The eighth grade lost against Nocona.
Although the seventh grade has one win and the eighth grade has zero wins, each team has their own bright spots.

We’re good at ball handling and dribbling the ball under pressure.

As a team, they have a few weaknesses that the players said they need to fix.
“The weaknesses are we haven’t played together and not all of us play basketball very much,” eighth grader Seth Truette said.
Coach Collin White said their weakness is understanding defense. Seventh grader Kreid Edwards agreed.
“We need to work on our defense the most,” Edwards said.
Even with the teams’ weaknesses, eighth grader Tanner Deerinwater said both teams have their strengths.
“We’re good at defense,” eighth grader Tanner Deerinwater said.
Seventh grader Kash Doyle said his team has different strengths.
“We’re good at rebounding and ball handling,” Doyle said.

Seventh grader Brayden Tedrow agreed.

“We’re good at ball handling and dribbling the ball under pressure,” Tedrow said.
